Virginia "Ginnie" P. Davis

Ginnie Davis died peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She lived 38 wonderful years with her beloved husband Jeff. In addition to Jeff, Ginnie is survived by her much adored children: Claudia Ruedrich (David), Susie McKinsey (Timothy), John Bricker (Julia), and Jenny Whaley (Scott), and grandchildren: Austin, Betsy, and Abby. Also surviving are four shared daughters; Lynn Wright (Michael), Julia Turner (James), Karen Roberts, Betty Trautman and their children: Julia, Rebecca, Benjamin, Ryan, Chelsea, Madeline, Mitchell, Rachel and Daniel. She is also survived by her sisters Jane Smith (George) and Susan Allen (Jerry), her sister-in-law Betty Davis Kieft, and her beloved "mommy" Helen Ely. One of the joys of Ginnie's life was helping first graders learn to read. She did this for 5 years in Columbus, Ohio, and 5 years in Boynton Beach, Florida. Her other volunteer passion was working with Dr. Bruce Greene in Radiation Oncology at Bethesda Memorial Hospital. A Celebration of Life service will be held 1pm, Friday, September 18, 2009 at the Church of the Palms, 1960 N. Swinton Ave., Delray Beach. The family will receive guests at the church one hour prior to the service.
