Gladuth Creasman Jr

Gladuth (Chris) a veteran of the Korean War and a long time resident of Delray Bch, FL., passed away peacefully on Sept 5, 2024, surrounded by the love of his children. Chris, as he was known by family and friends, was born in Andrews, NC. to the late Gladuth and Florence (Flowers) Creasman.

In 1951, Chris enlisted in the US Navy, where he served on the USS Wasp, CV-18. He shared many amazing stories of his B-17 Bombers. The US Navy recognized Chris with several declarations for his heroic and honorable service.

After the war, Chris married Mabel Christine (Cambron) Creasman. Together, they had 4 children, Connie (Richard) Baker, (FL) Lawson Lewis Creasman (FL), Delila Ann (Billy) Kellum (FL) Deborah (David) Simonds (NC), 7 grandchildren, Sarah, Kenneth, Richie, Jimmy, Mellissa, Cassandra, Drew, 17 great grandchildren, 7 great, great grandchildren, sister Janice Hogsed, 2 brothers, Raymond and Darry Creasman, sister-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews. Chris was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers, Kenneth, Bob, Ronald.

Chris will be remembered as a loyal husband of 68 years, a fantastic father, grandfather and friend. He was a man of simple pleasures. Spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, brought him so much joy and happiness. His kindness and generosity to others and his children's neighborhood friends who referred to him as "Mr. C." will always be cherished.

Chris's ashes will be spread on his childhood mountain home in Andrews, NC
