Gordon R. Mac Quaker, 93, of Boynton Beach passed away on Monday, July 16, 2007. Gordon spent over 50 years working in the printing ink industry; he received many awards, including the Prestigious Ault award. In 1993, starting with 120 third graders, Mac began the Boynton Beach chapter of "I Have a Dream", which is committed to ensuring a college education and jobs for the participating students.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughters Bette M. Becker (Jim) and Martha Lancaster; grandchildren Marcus Lancaster (Heidi), Alexander Becker (Melissa), and Beth McCullough (DJ); and 10 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2007 from 6-8pm at Boynton Memorial Chapel, 800 W. Boynton Beach Blvd., Boynton Beach, FL 33426. A religious service will be held on Friday, July 20, 2007 at 10:00am at Seacrest Presbyterian Church, 2703 N. Seacrest Blvd., Delray Beach. Private entombment to follow.
