IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gregory Alan
Kauffman
June 17, 1948 – October 22, 2020
Gregory A Kauffman Sr, 72, of Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away on October 22 nd . He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Janet A Kauffman, married on October 19, 1968, and is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Amy Kauffman of Louisville, Kentucky. Greg and Jan's oldest child, Gregory A Kauffman Jr, had passed away in 2015. We wish both Greg's well in post life as they are now joined together. Greg has five beautiful grandchildren: Michaella, Bryce, Savannah, Madyson, and Maycie.
Greg was born to parents Albert and Helen Kauffman, both deceased, and is the oldest of five surviving brothers: Wayne, Denny, Keith, Lenny, and Brian.
Greg is a 1966 graduate of St. Wendelin High School in Fostoria, Ohio, and earned a bachelor's degree in 1996 from the University of Findlay. We were very inspired with his decision to go back to school and to graduate with honors.
Greg worked 25 years with Union Carbide, later known as National Electrical Carbide Corporation. He retired in 2009 to enjoy traveling both domestically and internationally. His retirement also allowed him to spend more time with family and friends.
Greg was a member of the St. Wendelin parish in Fostoria, and also with St. Thomas More in Boynton Beach. Greg will be buried at the St. Wendelin cemetery at a later date when the COVID-19 pandemic has passed. The family would ask, in lieu of flowers, that people make donations, on Greg's behalf, to support one or all of the following charities: Kidney Foundation, American Heart Association, and/or American Lung Association.
For anyone who didn't know Greg, he fought kidney failure for 11 years before it would catch up to him. Greg will be missed by everyone who knew him in his life. He will be especially missed by his wife, and his surviving son. Since I am the one writing this obituary, I want to say how very proud I am of you and the life you lived. Rest in peace Dad! Love you always.
