Age 91 passed away Monday, May 19, 2014 surrounded by family. Ida was born in Washington, D.C., met and married the love of her life Dominic. After 65 years of marriage, Dominic preceded her in death in 2005.
Ida was a devoted and loving mother to five children; Joan Blackstock of GA, Donna (Mike) Rand of MD, Barbara (Bennett) Cohn of West Palm Beach, Teresa (Greg) Porter of Lake Worth and Placid Anastasi of Jensen Beach; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph Bucca of NC; sisters-in-law, Alice Bucca, Johanna Anastasi and Mary Anastasi of MD; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Ida impacted the lives of all by her faith, wisdom, and her warm, caring, compassionate smile. She lived each day as she believed. Wherever Ida went, she left behind a new friend. Her death leaves a void in the lives of all who knew her.
A Visitation will be held from 4pm to 8pm Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Boynton Memorial Chapel, 800 W. Boynton Beach Blvd., Boynton Beach. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Thursday, May 22, 2014 at St. Juliana's Catholic Church, 4500 S. Dixie Hwy, West Palm Beach with interment to follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Ave., WPB, FL 33407.
