Ignazio (Iggie) Frank Notaro
July 29, 1910-November 30, 2008

Frank Notaro of Delray Beach passed away peacefully, at home, on November 30, 2008. He and his wife Stella were long time residents of Brooklyn, NY. They danced in the Harvest Moon Ball at Madison Square Garden in 1935. Frank won the 1955 Fox Trot championship of the U.S. In 1965, he won the Peabody championship of New York. He had a dance studio in Brooklyn where he taught ballroom dancing.
He and his late wife Stella retired to Florida in 1972. Frank continued dancing, and at the age of 92, gave an exhibition of the Peabody at the Gold Coast dance studio in Coconut Creek.
Frank leaves behind two sons, Bernard Sr. and Dennis and their spouses Ellen and Rosalie; six grandchildren, Bernard Jr., Gerard, Deborah, Stephanie, Joseph and Dennis; and eight great-grandchildren, Amanda, Alex, Samantha, Stephen, Daniel, David, Matthew and Jessica.
A visitation will be held from 5pm to 8pm, Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Boynton Memorial Chapel, 800 W. Boynton Beach, Blvd., Boynton Beach. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated, 11:30am, Friday, December 5, 2008 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Boynton Beach. Interment will take place at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery, Royal Pam Beach.
