Ingrid Mary Kristina Eriksson Olofson
Ingrid Mary Kristina Eriksson Olofson died on January 7, 2011 at the age of 99 at Abbey Delray, Delray Beach. There will be a private memorial service with her family to celebrate her life.
Ingrid was born in Goteborg, Sweden and immigrated to the Palm Beach area in 1956 from Buffalo, New York. While she was a patriotic American, she was deeply proud of her Swedish heritage and enjoyed sharing her legacy with family and friends.
Ingrid was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ragnar "Bill" Olofson and her son, John Erik Olofson. She is survived by her son, Tom Olofson, Kansas City, MO, his wife Jeanne and their children, Chris, Chicago IL, and Scott, Malibu CA, his wife Zuzana and their children Preston Tom and Ella. Nancy DeSantis, Jeanne's sister, was a faithful and loving friend to Ingrid during her final years.
The family requests memorial donations are sent to Hospice of Palm Beach, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407 or Seacrest Presbyterian Church, 2703 N. Seacrest Boulevard, Delray Beach, FL 33434. The family respectfully requests no flowers.
