Jack S. Chorpenning passed away peacefully on November 30, 2022. He was born in Artesia, California on August 10, 1943. He grew up in the Los Angeles area of California. He served in the Air Force in the early 60s within the Air Control division. He had a distinguished carrer as a Senior Electrical Engineer with IBM for over 30 years where he garnered over 250 patents and invention disclosures - most notably the development of the Token Ring. After retiring from IBM he played an instrumental role in several start up companies.
