Jack Franklin Conser, 77, of Boynton Beach, FL died suddenly on April 10, 2021. Mr. Conser was born in Williamsport, PA, the son of Jack R. and Bessie H. Conser. He enjoyed his work, his family and his leisure and lived a life rich in experience and service.
He worked in the railroad industry for 42 years in Pennsylvania, New York, Rhode Island, Michigan and Florida. He began his career in 1961 as a clerk-operator on the Reading Railroad in Williamsport, PA and retired in 2003 as Senior Vice President of RailAmerica. In retirement, he consulted on railroads in the U.S. and abroad, volunteered and enjoyed tennis, walking his dog and spending time at the beach.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Cheryl Child Conser; daughter Ellen Conser of Pittsburgh, PA; son Jack A. Conser of Ottawa, Canada; and sisters Ann Conser Curley (John Curley) of Potomac MD and C. Lu Conser (Tim Potts) of Carlisle, PA.
Services will be private. Those who wish to make a donation in his memory may do so to their favorite charity.
