Jackie M Ragusa

January 13, 1933 – January 29, 2017

Jackie left this world peacefully at home cared for by her family.  She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Mario, her children Joseph Ragusa, Cynthia McGuire and Christopher Ragusa, her son-in-law Kevin McGuire and her daughter-in-law Jenny Ragusa.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Kyle McGuire, Trevor McGuire, Connor McGuire, Brandon Ragusa and Ryan Ragusa, granddaughter-in-law Jillian McGuire and her great grandchildren Cash, Wren and Archer McGuire.  She is preceded in death by her father William P. Morgan, mother Hattie Morgan, brother William Morgan and sister Jean Van Matre.  She loved them all so dearly.

Born in Danville, Virginia, Jackie lived in many places where she made many friends including Washington D.C., Long Island, New York and finally Boynton Beach, Florida.

She spent years as a psychotherapist and among her intellectual passions were psychology, politics and history.  She loved to play bridge and took up embroidery, creating a collection of pillows and blankets. The culinary arts were a particular favorite as she would watch cooking shows, collect magazines, make beloved dishes including her famous holiday stuffing and play hostess to friends and family at dinner parties and holiday gatherings. She was well traveled visiting Europe and much of the United States.  She will be remembered by those who knew her best as a spirited, loving and generous woman whose concern for loved ones always warmed their hearts.

A visitation will be held from 11am to 12pm with a 12noon Funeral Service Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Boynton Memorial Chapel. Burial will take place at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach.
