Our beloved son and brother, Jake Christian Owsley, age 30, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026. He was born on Feb. 14, 1996 in Detroit, Michigan and raised in the Detroit metro area. From the moment he arrived, he was a sweet, compassionate and sensitive being with a large, vivacious and magnetic personality. Throughout his brief life, his affability, fun-loving nature and authentic kindness helped him make and maintain friendships wherever he went. He was uniquely known for his fierce loyalty and protectiveness. Gone all too soon, we will remember our Jake for his infectious smile, his easy conversation and his self-deprecating and warm sense of humor. He will forever be profoundly missed but will remain young and beautiful in our hearts – a bright light that will live on through those who knew and loved him.

Jake leaves behind his mother Leslie Bryson (Craig), father Donald Owsley (Jennifer), brother Austin Owsley, sisters Caitlin Owsley and Shae Owsley and his step siblings Max Bryson, Solana Bryson, Kylie Weymouth (Sean Harte), Kasy Weymouth (Daniel Striks), step niece Sloan Machesney and step nephew Leo Striks.

The family will be holding a memorial at a later date in Michigan.
