Age 83, of Boynton Beach, died Friday evening, May 31, 2013. He had been a resident here for the last 44 years coming from Detroit, MI. Mr. Lasecki was born Oct. 12, 1929, in Detroit; graduated Detroit's Catholic Central High School; married his wife Phyllis in 1950; and moved to Florida in 1969. He opened and operated three different gas stations and worked as a Florida state inspector the last three years before retiring. Upon retirement, they bought a home in Haysville, NC, and split their time between "living up on the lake" and living here in Boynton Beach. Mr. Lasecki was a member of the Elks Lodge and a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis; and survived by three children, Linda Barter, Jim Lasecki, and Diane Kemp; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Maryjane Kolly and Evelyn Cairns. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 AM Thursday, June 6, 2013, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Boynton Beach. Boynton Memorial Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory, Boynton Beach, is in charge of arrangements.
