Jim Pignato, age 86, received God's promised reward on August 15, 2012. He was born in Dunbar, WV. During WWII he was stationed as part of the Army Air Forces in Boca Raton, FL where he met his wife. He started working as an accountant in 1958 and was the founder of Pignato & Underwood CPA, PA, still working up until the time of his death. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Delray Beach where he sang in the choir, taught Sunday School for over 50 years, served as Deacon, and held many other church positions. He enjoyed going on missionary trips to countries in Africa and South America. He was a member of the Rotary Club for over 50 years, serving twice as President. He was bestowed with the honor of Sun-Sentinel Man of the Year in 1986.
Jim was predeceased in death by his wife of 64 years, Frances Clark Pignato. He is survived by four children, Jim (Lolly) Pignato, Mary Alice Underwood, Betty Jo (Steve) Goss, and Tom (Virginia) Pignato; five grandchildren, Jeff (Carrie) Pignato, Jacqueline (Aaron) Pignato Vause, Jennifer (Jeff) Goss Lee, Joshua Underwood, Caleb (Katherine) Underwood; four great-grandchildren, Jacob Pignato, Elisabeth Pignato, Lydia Pignato, Jordan Goss; two sister, Angie Blizzard and Mary Berry; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held 11am Saturday, August 25, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Delray Beach. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, you may make a gift to First Baptist Church of Delray Beach.
