IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James B.
Walker
April 29, 1944 – February 1, 2021
James Benjamin Walker, "Ben" as his family and friends knew him, was born on April 29, 1944, in the Houston, Texas area. Ben spent his childhood exploring the family farm in the small town of Center, Texas. Adulthood brought opportunities for traveling through his employment with Wohl Shoe Company. Ben loved the years he was able to live on Oahu Island, Hawaii. Ben embraced the culture and beauty of the islands. The Hawaiian Islands lived inside his heart for the remainder of his life. Years after he left the islands, the ocean called and Ben answered. He relocated for his final working years and retirement to Boynton Beach, Florida. Ben's two loves were fishing and cooking. He was an expert at catching and then cooking delicious dishes of King Fish. Ben is survived by his lifelong partner Eva McClanahan. Four living children James Richard (Rich) Walker, Joseph Walker, Sean McClanahan, and Erin McClanahan. He is preceded in death by his beloved daughter Tracey Walker. Ben has 10 grandchildren and is preceded in death by one grandson. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren. Ben lived a full life and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
