Age 48, died in the Hospice Unit at Good Samaritan Hospital on August 25, 2009. Jamie was born in Tallahassee, FL but considered West Palm Beach her home. She was a very talented singer who also enjoyed acting. She was a 1979 graduate of Forest Hill High School. Jamie was a member of the Falcon Band, chorus and President of her Junior Class. She then completed an apprentice program at the Burt Reynolds Dinner Theater before attending the Academy of Dramatic Arts and The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. From there Jamie went to California to pursue a career in entertainment. In 1985 she was involved in a car accident. Her injuries ands complications from that accident plagued her for the rest of her life.
Jamie Jo is survived by her father, James Hooks Reynolds (Maria); mother, Jo Reynolds-Hufner; and brother, James Burton Reynolds (Jackie) and son Luke Reynolds. In addition, she is survived by uncles Frank Scholze (Liz) and Burt Reynolds and aunt Nancy Ann Brown. Cousins include, Lewis Scholze (Lisa) and daughter Elizabeth Diana Hoffs (Alex) and daughters Amelia and Lily; Beth Ledbetter (Tom) and sons Albert, Michael and Tommy and cousins Nancy Lee Hess (Rick) and Charles Ritchey Brown (Debbie). She was predeceased by her step-father, Fred G. Hufner Jr.
