Jared Quinn McCoy, 29, passed away peacefully at 1:16pm on Friday, September 1, 2017 after a brief illness with his family by his side. He was born on February 2, 1988 in West Palm Beach, FL where he lived until moving to Bell, FL 5 years ago. Jared played baseball at Lake Worth Youth Leagues as a child. He graduated from Park Vista High School in 2006 where he was a drummer in the Marching Band. Jared attended Florida Gulf Coast University where he earned an AA in Business Administration. Jared's love of children led him to become one of the founding Site Directors for the 21st Century Community Learning Center at Duval Early Learning Academy with the Alachua County School District in Gainesville, FL.

He is survived by his Father, Michael P. McCoy of Bell, FL, his Mother, Pamela P. McCoy of Boynton Beach, FL, Brother, Matthew N. McCoy and sister-in-law Tara N. (Anderson) McCoy of Boynton Beach and Brother, Dustyn B. McCoy, also of Boynton Beach, FL, Maternal Grandparents, Leslie H. and Ellen M. Penfield of Lake Worth, FL, his Fiancé, Ashley L.- Hubbard of Bell, FL. and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.

He is preceded in death by his oldest brother, Timothy A. McCoy, Maternal Grandmother, Joanne D. Penfield, Maternal Great-Grandmothers, Ida R. DiBlasi and Leah W. Penfield, Paternal Grandparents, James and Cathy McCoy, Paternal Great-Grandmother, Delores Alessio and Cousins, Heather M. Toney and Jessica L. Petzold.

Jared's greatest joy was helping others and making people feel special. His smile and laugh were infectious. Jared was a kind, caring, compassionate, loving, big Teddy Bear of a man. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.

A Memorial Service will be held 7:00pm Friday, September 22, 2017 at St. Joseph Episcopal Church, Boynton Beach with a reception to follow in the church hall.
