Jean Norton Christie, 65, of Boynton Beach, FL, died at home on February 3, 2012. She was born on September 7, 1946, to Robert & Mary Christie. She was a long time resident of Westchester County, NY, before relocating to Florida in 2004.
Jean began a career in the 1970's at First National Citibank. She retired from banking to devote herself full-time to raising her children. Jean was a wonderful mother and homemaker. She loved cooking, jewelry making, and entertaining, and was a strong supporter of women's equality. Jean was also an avid golfer, and was a long time member of Winged Foot Golf Club and more recently Delray Dunes Golf Club.
Jean is survived by her children Christie & Amy Gestal of Boulder, CO, Laurie Gestal of New Canaan, CT, Samantha & Kenneth Gestal, Jr. of Jupiter, FL, and her grandson Kenneth "Tripp" Gestal III. She is also survived by her mother Mary Christie of the Village of Golf, FL, her two brothers Robert and Neil Christie and their families, and her beloved dog, Remy. She was predeceased by her father Robert Christie III in 1982.
