Age 57 of Lake Worth passed away April 21, 2016. He was born March 15, 1959 in McKeesport, PA to Lois and John Gallo. John graduated from McKeesport High School where he had been a part of the golf, tennis and swimming teams. He went on to graduate from Penn State in 1982 with a B.S. in Health Administration. After college, John worked as a Director of Placement for medical trade schools in Baltimore when he met Laura Henry, whom he married April 30, 1994. Together, they lived in several cities before relocating to Florida in 2005. In his 40's, John realized his dream of a golf career and earned certificates in teaching, coaching and playing from the PGA. He was an avid fisherman and even attended Orvis Fly Fishing School in Vermont last year.
John was affectionately known to his friends as "Lumpy" and has maintained a close-knit circle of friends that stem from his childhood and college years.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Laura Gallo of Lake Worth; his parents, Lois and John Gallo and sister, Rhonda Gallo of Mt. Pleasant, PA; Laura's parents, William and Theresa Henry of Vero Beach, FL; sister-in-law, Theresa Ann Henry and brother-in-law, Rick Luhmann of San Francisco, CA; brother-in-law, Steven Henry of Pompton Plains, NJ; nieces, Tess and Gwen; and his beloved French bulldog, Lebeau. John was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, William J. Henry.

A Funeral Service will be held 12noon Monday, April 25, 2016 at Boynton Memorial Chapel. The visitation will begin at 10am Monday until the time of service.
