Obituary

John was born in Greenport, Brooklyn to Lottie and Anthony Siehien in 1932. He went to Brooklyn Tech HS and graduated from City College with his Master's Degree.

He served in Korea; earning a Bronze Star, then afterward worked as a machinist in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, and for many years, a High School teacher in New York City.

John is survived by his wife, Marjorie of 65 years, their three children Joan, John, and Jeffrey, their wives, May Joy, and Juliette, seven grandchildren, Crystal, Brian, Hector, Roan, Jorge, Stephanie, AJ, and his wife Veronica, four great grandchildren, Aiden, Ellie, Kiara, and Logan. He was an honorary uncle to Mary Beth, Krissy, Brian, and their children.

John was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend to many. He was an active member of the Elks and former Exalted Ruler. He loved to play cards, enjoyed going to the horse races, following the stock market, doing puzzles, and eating white castle hamburgers.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on July 20, 2022 at 10:30am followed by inurnment at South Florida National Cemetery at 12:30pm. A reception held at 1:00pm at Mama Mia's Trattoria located at 8855 Hypoluxo Road, Lake Worth, FL 33457.
