Obituary - John R. Whitmire
John was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on May 15, 1970. He graduated from Roswell High School in Roswell Georgia. After High School, John enlisted in the U. S. Army where he served in the 82nd Airborne unit. He was deployed to the Gulf War where he was awarded the S.W. Asia service medal with two bronze stars, and the Kuwait Liberation Medal from Saudi Arabia. John is survived by his mother Elizabeth Kesner and his sister Jennifer Antonelos. John will be laid to rest in the South Florida Veteran's Cemetery with full military honors.
