Joseph T. Lawrence, 88, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019, at the Bethesda East Hospital in Boynton Beach, Florida following a brief illness.

A dedicated husband, loving father and adoring grandfather, he leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Mary (nee Sartori), daughter Marisa, sons Joseph and David, son-in-law Stephen, daughters-in-law Elizabeth and Elizabeth, and grandchildren Stephen, Jessica, Connor, Christoper, Natalie, and Cassandra.

Born and raised in Greenwich Village, New York City, Joe reared his family in Jamica Estates and Bronxville before retiring to East Quoque and Boynton Beach, accumulating friends wherever he went.

He was a talented artist and the consummate salesman, which enabled him to succeed in his numerous careers and business ventures.

His passions, first and foremost, were his grandchildren, followed closely by his love for oil painting. Joseph was a prolific artist; generously sharing his works of art with his friends and family on whose walls he will live forever.

An avid football fan, who attended the first Superbowl, he loved his Giants and Jets, Joe enjoyed golfing, boating and fishing and sharing these activities with his beloved family and friends.

From the Eiffel Tower to the Great Wall of China to Maui's Mount Haleakala, Joe loved traveling with the love of his life, Mary. He also had a gourmet palate, and fortunately, Mary was an outstanding chef. Together they enjoyed dining at fine restaurants and exploring new cuisines and cultures at home and abroad.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2019, at 10:30 AM at the Emmanuel Catholic Church in Delray Beach, Florida.
