Josephine Rose Giblin went home to be with her Savior on July 4, 2009. She was born in New York City on May 23, 1923 and graduated from Hunter College in 1944 with a degree in accounting. Jo was employed by American Cyanamid until she was married on July 3, 1947.
She will always be remembered for putting others first and faithfully serving her family, friends and community. Jo was a loving wife to her husband, Edward, for fifty-eight years and a wonderful and supportive mother to her son Robert.
She was a tireless volunteer who spent many hours as a Board Member for Leader Dogs for the Blind in Detroit, Michigan. Jo was also active in Senior Net in Florida and volunteered at Bethesda Hospital and Abbey Delray South.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, and is survived by her son Robert, his wife Wendy and her grandchildren Brett, Mark and Jessica, who live in Wilmington, Delaware.
The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff at Bethesda Hospital and Abbey Delray South for the kindness and care given to Jo during her final months.

A funeral mass will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 9, 2009 at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church in Delray Beach, Florida. A visitation will be held 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at BOYNTON MEMORIAL CHAPEL 800 W Boynton Beach Blvd., Boynton Beach, Florida.
