Judy Murray, age 72, of Boynton Beach, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, September 19, 2012, after a courageous five year battle with a debilitating autoimmune disease. She had been a resident here for more than 30 years working much of that time for the Palm Beach County Zoning Department as an Administrative Coordinator.
Judy was born in Paterson, N.J., April 26, 1940 and was raised in Wyckoff, NJ by her parents Bill and Jean Murray. Judy earned her Bachelor's degree while working full time and caring for her then ailing parents who resided in West Palm Beach. She was very independent, loved the controversy of current events, and dabbling in different investment opportunities. She also loved her work but was forced to retire due to her illness. She will be dearly missed by her family and her many neighbors and friends.
Survivors include her sister Susan and brother in law Bill Ryan of Charlotte, NC and their children Kelly Kojali of Atlanta, GA and Bill Ryan, Jr. and wife Karrie, also of Charlotte, NC as well as great niece Katie Kojali and great nephews Chris Kojali; and Billy, Jack, and Jake Ryan.
The family wishes to thank her dear neighbors and friends who took special and loving care of Judy during this difficult time...she truly loved all of you!
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, September 23, 2012 at BOYNTON MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 800 West Boynton Beach, Blvd., Boynton Beach, with the Reverend Martin Zlatic of St. Joseph's Episcopal Church, officiating.
