Age 92, of Boynton Beach, FL and Manhasset, NY, passed away peacefully in her sleep November 16, 2012 in the Lourdes-Noreen McKeen Residence. Mrs. Burns was born August 3, 1920, in Fayette City, Pennsylvania, to William Scott & Margaret Russell. She attended Our Lady of Solace Elementary School where she met the love of her life, George F. Burns, Jr., at the age of 12. She enjoyed both playing and watching golf, traveling & spending time with her five grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, George F. Burns Jr. of Boynton Beach and Manhasset, NY; son, George F. Burns III of West Palm Beach, FL; daughter, Kathleen M. Boudria of Mendham, NJ; five grandchildren, Kelly (Brian) Meerbott of Virginia Beach, VA, Katherine F. Boudria of New York, NY; Eileen M. Burns of Boynton Beach, FL, Richard M. Boudria Jr. of New York, NY and George F. Boudria of New York, NY; son-in-law, Richard M. Boudria of Mendham, NJ; and daughter-in-law, Irene Stolfi Burns of Boynton Beach, FL.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30am Monday, November 19, 2012 at St. Thomas More Church, Boynton Beach. A visitation will be held from 4pm to 6pm Sunday at Boynton Memorial Chapel, 800 W. Boynton Beach Blvd., Boynton Beach. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
