Age 64 of Boynton Beach passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 after fighting a long and courageous battle with polycystic kidneys. She was born August 3, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY and was the daughter of Charles and Diana Sclafani, both deceased. Kathleen attended St. Bernadette Elementary School and graduated from Bishop Kearney High School, Brooklyn, NY. She also attended Villanova University and obtained her nursing degree. Kathleen worked over 35 years as a nurse in New Jersey and in Boynton Beach, FL. She was a devoted mother to her beloved son, Matthew, who passed away in 2010. Kathleen is survived by her sister, Paula (Chris) Ruisi of Holmdel, NJ and three nephews Christopher, Stephen and Andrew Ruisi.
A visitation will be held from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Friday, December 9, 2010 at Boynton Memorial Chapel, 800 W. Boynton Beach Blvd., Boynton Beach. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am Saturday, December 10, 2011 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Boynton Beach.
