IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Keith A.
Dolmat
February 4, 1955 – November 8, 2025
Keith A. Dolmat, 70, passed away on November 8, 2025, peacefully doing what he loved, and was gifted at doing, — painting. After out of town family were unable to reach him, we were able to get his best friends to do a wellness check. Keith was found sitting at his desk where he apparently died suddenly, as he was in the midst of painting. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family and friends who lives were touched by him
Keith is survived by his mother, Gloria Dolmat, his brothers, Brian & Bruce Dolmat, and his twin sister, Karen Dolmat Knight. Uncle Keith also leaves behind 4 nieces and 4 nephews, who adored him, and 6 grand-nephews. Keith was predeceased by his father, who died just 7 days earlier, on November 1, 2025
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Keith grew up in Deer Park, Long Island. During his high school years, Keith enjoyed playing on the soccer team. He studied art in Urbino, Italy and got his degree from SUNY Fredonia. While in Italy, Keith did extensive traveling throughout Europe. He also became a very good cook!
After a brief time working for the Long Island Railroad, Keith moved to NC to become a freelance commercial artist & painter, doing business as "Flying Colors".
While he loved North Carolina, New York, the Mets, and Italy always held special places in his heart. His many friends in NC & NY who have known and loved him for decades will always remember his fun sense of humor, willingness to help, loyalty, and generosity.
Please remember Keith for the vibrant life he lived. Until the very end, he was happy, healthy, full of energy, and always up for a game of golf.
