Sons

Memorial Gathering
Boynton Memorial Chapel
Starts at 1:00 pm
Ken Sons, 67, passed away on February 23, 2026. Born on July 21, 1958, Ken was originally from Lexington, Ky before moving to Florida in 1981 to start a life here with his family.
Ken lived a life full of laughter, loyalty, and quiet strength. He was many things to many people — a devoted life partner, a loyal friend, a steady presence, and to those lucky enough, a stand-in dad when one was needed most. He had a way of making people feel safe and grounded, with a heart far bigger than he ever let on.
He shared a loving life with his partner, Tammy Davis, who stood faithfully by his side. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Ashley Davis Sons, whose memory he carried with him always.
Ken was also preceded in death by his parents, Eman Sons and Pearlie (Sams) Sons; and his siblings, Johnny Sons, Catherine Warmouth, Lillie Dickerson, and Joann Sons.
He is survived by his siblings: Edith Brown, Sylvia Menefee, Pauline Lewis, and Jerry Sons, along with extended family and many dear friends who will miss him deeply.
Ken had a passion for life's simple but meaningful joys. He loved a good poker game, a day on the golf course, and cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats. He was also a dedicated football fan, rarely missing a chance to watch a good game. An avid reader, he was always learning and always curious. Above all, he was an animal lover — both wild and domestic — with a soft spot that showed in the way he cared for every creature he encountered.
Ken will be remembered for the warmth he carried and the joy he spread so effortlessly. As Tammy has chosen to engrave on his urn, words that perfectly capture his spirit:
"His smile and laugh lit up the room."
And truly, they did.
His laughter echoed. His smile reassured. His presence mattered.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A memorial service will be celebrated at Boynton Memorial Chapel at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 14, 2026.
