Obituary

Kerin gained her wings and went to heaven on February 24, 2022, after a brief illness.

Kerin was born in Mineola, NY, and grew up in Garden City, NY. Kerin graduated from Garden City High School. Following high school, Kerin attended the University of Florida in Gainesville and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Following graduation, Kerin went to work for Lynn Insurance in Boca Raton where she was employed for 35 years.

She was married to the love of her life, Scott Straleau, for 30 years. She was a loving and devoted wife.

She is predeceased by her mother Joan Wathey (Stilz) and her aunt, Sandy Engelke (Stilz). Kerin will be greatly missed by Scott's sister, Kim and her husband Bill Jones. She will also be greatly missed by her brother Robert Schramm and his wife Dina and their daughter Tiffany; her best friend and cousin Suzanne Blair and husband John and their children Ryan, Brooke, Amanda, and Lilly; and her cousin Steven and his children, Kyle and Evan; and her aunt Mary Jane Schrader.

Kerin was a master gardener and she loved to care for her orchids, plants, and flowers. After retirement, you could always find Kerin in her garden tending to her beautiful orchids and flowers. She loved cats and leaves Sophie to remember her love.

Kerin will be immensely missed by her husband Scott and her many family members and friends.
