Boynton Beach, FL – Lars Frederik Lien, age 86, died Saturday, October 15, 2016 at JFK Medical Center, Atlantis, FL. He was born December 4, 1929, in Oslo, Norway to the late Dagfin and Dagmor, Lien.
He came to the United States after marrying the late Anne Lien in Oslo, Norway and served in the US Army for two years in Garmesch , Germany. He earned a Bachelor's degree from Boston University and spent many successful business years as a sales rep and managing director for Stanley Tools as well as Velux America.
His many interests included playing golf, listening to jazz, blues and classical music, going to the theater and travel. He was blessed with many friends and family and was always the life of the party.
He is survived by his loving companion, Theresa Carter of Boynton Beach FL; sons Lars (Rick), Jr. of Ellis, ME, Jon Lien of Northboro, MA and David Lien of Georgetown, MA; daughters Olga Callery of North Andover, MA and Lisa Garson of Greenville, SC ; brother Wesse Lien of Oslo, Norway; nephews Dag Lien of Norway and Erik Lien of Marblehead, MA; 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 9:00am October 29, 2016 at Faith Lutheran Church, Andover, MA. Lars will be interred at Ridgewood Cemetery in N. Andover, MA.
