Age 80, husband of Rita Rouleau (Nadeau) of 56 years, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 7, 2008 in Boynton Beach, FL.
Laurier (Larry) Rouleau was born in Coaticook, Canada on July 22, 1928, the son of the late Joseph and Noella Rouleau. He lived in Canada until shortly after his marriage to Rita, when they moved to the United States, where they started their family, which included three sons and one daughter.
He was self employed much of his life, having owned multiple businesses which included a service station in Canada, then in CT a roofing business, owner of Edgewood Homes Inc. and partnered in PCR Associates builders.
During his working years he was an active member in the Knights of Columbus and Fairfield County Home Builders Association. He enjoyed gardening, traveling and visiting with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Rene Rouleau of Temple City, CA. Larry is survived by his wife Rita, sons Henry Rouleau of Boynton Beach, FL and partner, Joanne Pastorello of Brick, NJ, Norman and Lynn Rouleau of Trumbull, CT, Donald Rouleau and fiancé Clemence Carter of Boynton Beach, FL, daughter Linda and Bill Conley of New Milford, CT. Three grandchildren Jillian Rouleau of Phoenix, AZ, Daniel Rouleau of Trumbull, CT and Shannon Conley of New Milford, CT. He is also survived by two brothers, Laurent of Lancaster, CA, Noel of Burlington, VT and four sisters, Loretta, Anita, Claire and Helen, all from Canada.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Trumbull, CT at Mullins Funeral Home and St. Catherine of Siena Church with burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
