Obituary

Lawrence (Larry) Matthew Licata, 73, entered into rest on May 5, 2021 in his home in Boynton Beach, FL surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on January 25, 1948 in Buffalo, NY, to the late Paul and Angeline (Marotta) Licata, he attended Grover Cleveland High School and Park College prior to serving in the US Army as a combat veteran in Vietnam.

Larry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and cousin. Family traditions were of the utmost importance to him. He loved to attend large gatherings with his family and friends, filled with laughter, music, and reminiscence of old stories. His hobbies included winemaking, showing off his culinary creativity, playing card games, and fishing.

He was the beloved husband of 50 years to Susan (Cummings) Licata; devoted father to Paul (Beth) Licata and Joannah (Carl) Maranto; loving grandfather to Juliana, Carl, Lorenzo Vincent, Adriana, and Lorenzo Marco; loving brother of the late Charles Licata, Elizabeth (Joseph) Marchese and Jeanne Licata; brother-in-law to Michael (Betty) Cummings and Patty Cummings. He is also survived by his nephews, Vincent (Shanna), Ray, and his niece, Allison.

A visitation will be held from 4pm to 8pm with a Prayer Service at 5pm Friday, May 7, 2021 at Boynton Memorial Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30am Saturday, May 8, 2021 at St. Mark Church, Boynton Beach. Entombment will take place at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach.
