Lenore Farland, 72, returned to her heavenly home on December 27, 2019, after a courageous battle with
Huntington's Disease. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle
and ultimately gave her peace.
Lenore was born in Brooklyn, NY to Sam and Vivian Turturello on November 22, 1947. Throughout her
life, she drew strength from her Catholic faith and involvement in the Catholic community. Lenore was
blessed by a large, loving network of family and friends. She was famous among them for her Italian
cooking and having room at her table of everyone. She married her best friend, Alfred (Al) Farland, on
September 16, 1967, in Wantagh, NY. The couple raised their two children, Lisa and Christopher, in Lake
Ronkonkoma, NY. In addition to being a homemaker, Lenore spent her professional life as a beautician,
eventually owning her own in-home salon for 20 years.
Lenore is survived by her husband, Alfred; her daughter Lisa Clements and her husband Mike of Boynton
Beach, FL; her son Christopher (Chris) Farland, his wife Karie and their two children - Ethan and Cooper -
all of Berthoud, CO; her father, Sam Turturello of Wantagh, NY: her sister, Carol Bianca, her husband
Mike and their two children - Danielle and Michael - all of Farmingdale, NY; her brother Robert Turturello
and his wife Nancy and their daughter Isabella, of Wantagh, NY.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2020, at 8:30 am, at Boynton Memorial Chapel.
Followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 am, at Emmanuel Catholic Church, in Delray Beach.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, January 6, 2020, at 10:00 am, at The South Florida National Cemetery. (Lane 5)
