Obituary

Lois Brady, affectionately known as Mema, passed away peacefully at the age of 92, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering love, strength, and inspiration. A beacon of hope to all who knew her, Lois radiated warmth, kindness, and a deep commitment to those she loved. Her remarkable journey through life, marked by triumph over childhood polio, was a powerful testament to the human spirit's boundless resilience, adaptability, and ability to find joy even in the face of adversity.

Lois's greatest joy was her family. She was the beloved wife of Don Brady for 72 years, and together they built a loving home and a lasting partnership. Lois was a devoted mother to her two children, Colleen (Brady) Paci and Don Brady Jr., and a treasured mother-in-law to Joe Paci and Janice (Bychek) Brady. Lois took immense pride in being a grandmother to her six grandchildren—Catherine Paci, Joey Paci, Allison Paci, Christopher Brady, Mark Brady, and Carolyn (Brady) Aspinall—and a cherished great-grandmother to her nine great-grandchildren. She was a constant source of wisdom, joy, and unconditional love to each of them.

A dedicated philanthropist, Lois was passionate about giving back to causes close to her heart. She supported the Special Olympics of Florida, where her contributions empowered countless athletes, and was an active supporter of the PAP Corps Champions for Cancer Research at the Sylvester Cancer Center at UM. Lois's dedication to these organizations reflected her lifelong commitment to helping others and making the world a better place.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Iola Bracken, who provided the foundation for the kind and loving woman she became. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her surviving family members and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Lois's memory be made to the Special Olympics of Florida at https://support.specialolympics.org/a/florida or the PAP Corps Champions for Cancer Research at the UM Sylvester Cancer Center, Palm Isles Chapter.

Lois's love and light will continue to guide us, and her legacy of resilience, kindness, and compassion will remain with us forever.
