Lorraine Butkus, age 76, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, peacefully joined the angels in heaven on November 10, 2007 at the Lauer Hospice and Palliative Center at JFK Hospital. She was born July 12, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Butkus, her mother, Virginia Beebe, and her brothers Tommy and Bob (Joanne). She is survived by her loving daughter Bonnie A. Plucinski and son-in-law Deacon Andrew Plucinski, brother James (Pat) Beebe, sister Shirley (Ronnie) Renaud, grandchildren Stephanie (fiance Kevin), Bonnie (Stan) Chavik, Carol (James) Segrist, great grandchildren Danielle, Cassandra, Madeline, children Charles (Diane), Rita (James), Sharon and many other family members. Lorraine was a devoted mother and grandmother. She especially enjoyed her quiet time with her lovable pets: Princess, Gracie, Madonna and Bailey. She also enjoyed reading, traveling, listening to talk radio, and keeping abreast of current political issues. Lorraine proudly served as the matriarch of our family. She will be dearly missed. Visitation Wednesday, November 14, 2007 from 2-4pm and 6-9pm at Boynton Memorial Chapel 800 W. Boynton Beach Boulevard, Boynton Beach, FL 33426. Funeral mass Thursday, November 15, 2007 at 11am at St. Matthew Catholic Church 6090 Hypoluxo Road, Lake Worth, FL 33463. Entombment at Boynton Beach Mausoleum 1611 S. Seacrest Blvd., Boynton Beach. Special thanks to the many outstanding medical professionals that helped to treat Grandma Lorraine over the years: Dr. Sanchez and his nurse Krissy, Dr. Jimenez and staff, Dr. Krasner, Dr. Elpedes, Dr. Gutierrez, Lincare, Dr. Levine and Dr. Smith and nurses.
