Marie Theresa (Lacourse) Gagnier

Born in South Attleboro Massachusetts on May 23, 1925.

She was the daughter of Joseph and Odina (Lamarre) Lacourse and was the last of her generation. She was predeceased by her siblings Denis, Rose, Ted, Cecile, Jerry, Paul, Maurice, Lucy, and Joseph.

On April 26th she would have celebrated her 60th wedding anniversary to her husband Leo who passed last year. Her children are comforted to know she and her beloved husband Leo will be together to celebrate their anniversary just as Leo promised.

Marie worked as a cook, an assembler in the defense industry, and her most important career as a homemaker and loving mother to her children, nephews, and nieces.

She was a fiercely faithful woman whose belief in God and her life was a testament to the gospel. She provided an example of a loving wife, mother, aunt, sister, daughter, and friend who welcomed many in times of need and celebration.

She is survived by her son Jean Leo Gagnier of Westerly Rhode Island, her daughters Marie Neshe of Boyton Beach Florida and Cecile Barrett of Bellingham Massachusetts. She will be missed by her five grandchildren Paul and Colleen Neshe, Scott and Janelle Barrett, and Nicole (Barrett) Zerbee, as well as four great grandchildren.
