Obituary

Marjorie Lee Brown Hollub , 88, died suddenly on January 1, 2020. She was born in Asheville, N.C. on June 20, 1931. She was raised in Virginia during World War II, moving to Winston-Salem , N.C. where she graduated from James A. Gray H igh School . Her daughter, Judy, was born from her first marriage in Winston-Salem.  In 1960, she and Judy and her brothers Lyn and David and parents moved to Palm Beach County.

Originally working for Pratt & Whitney, she and her husband , Fred, purchased a motel on Singer Island before moving and later purchased several laundromats in the Boynton Beach area. She and Fred were both avid golfers and boaters.

She is predeceased by her parents Lyndon S. Brown and Marguerite L. Hawkins Brown, infant sister, Emily, and husband Fred Anthony Hollub .

She will be lovingly be remembered by her life partner of the past 3 5 years , Aldo Butera , and his family. Also surviving are her daughter , Judith Holleman Boven der and husband Lonnie, and grandchildren, Nikki Jacobs (husband Ryan), Cori Bundren (husband Jamie), 8 great-grandchildren, her brothers, Lyn Brown (wife Carol) and David (wife Joan) and numerous nieces and nephews .

A remembrance service will be held on Monday , January 6, 2020 , between 3 :00 p.m. and 5 :00 p.m. at Boynton Memorial Chapel, 800 West Boynton Beach Blvd., Boynton Beach, Florida. A burial service will begin at 9 :30 a.m. on Tuesday , January 7, 2020 , beginning at the Chapel and p roc e e ding to Boynton Memorial Park and Mausoleum , 1611 S Seacrest Blvd, Boynton Beach, F lorida .
