Mark Abel Archer, age 61, of Boynton Beach FL, passed away on March 29, 2026. He was born on April 29, 1964 in Red Bank NJ to Thomas and Irene (Vivian) Archer. 

Mark met the love of his life, Judith Ann Tobias, in 2005 and they became inseparable. Mark and Judy were married on October 16, 2021 in Ocala, FL. Together, they built a life filled with love…and cats. 

Mark graduated from South Plantation High School in Plantation FL, and soon after found his passion for carpentry. For 40 years, Mark worked at Lotspeich Co. of FL, where he was highly-valued for his carpentry skills, problem-solving capabilities, and friendly disposition. His kindness, easygoing nature, and infectious laugh endeared him to friends and strangers alike. 

Outside of work, Mark loved puttering at home: making things, fixing things, growing things. He designed and built the home that he and Judy lived in, as well as another, where he served as a caring and attentive landlord. Mark had a particular soft spot for cats, and over the years rescued and nursed back to health a number of strays who became devoted to him. He especially enjoyed decorating the yard for Halloween. A big round tree became a jack o’ lantern, and he built his own animatronic displays that delighted passersby and (gently) scared young neighborhood kids. 

Mark is survived by devoted wife Judith Ann Tobias Archer, mother Irene Archer, brother Anthony Cain Archer (Beth), niece Sarah Fuller, nephew Jack Archer, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by father, Thomas Archer. He is also survived by beloved pet cats Kitten, Patches, Oscar, Casper, and Jasmine.

The community and family will gather to honor Mark at the Boynton Memorial Chapel, located at 800 W. Boynton Beach Blvd, Boynton Beach, FL 33426. A viewing will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with the memorial service beginning at 3:00 PM.
