Obituary
Mary K. Burger, age 83, of Delray Beach, went home to be with her Lord May 5, 2014. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, nurse, and friend, who lived out her Christian faith beautifully.
Mary was born November 14, 1930 in Beaumont, Texas. She attended the University of Houston for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She married L.J. "Sam" Burger in 1957. The family moved to Delray Beach in 1972. Sam and Mary were members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Delray.
Mary is survived by her husband, L.J."Sam" Burger, 4 children: Katie, Delray Beach, Christopher (Evelyn) Columbia, South Carolina, Beth, West Palm Beach, and Matthew, Boynton Beach; 3 grandchildren: Jacob, Ian, and Sarah Burger of Columbia, South Carolina; brother J.R. Jones (Cherry) of Beaumont, Texas.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Katie Jones, and siblings: Margaret, Sonny, and Richard Jones.
A Memorial Service will be held 11am Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Delray Beach.
