Mary Ostrowski, age 96, passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday evening, July 1, 2009. She had been a resident of the Manor Care Nursing Home in Boynton Beach, FL for the past six years. Born in Hudson, PA November 24, 1912, Mary lived in Ashley, PA for many years, and in 1971 she relocated to Hollywood, FL to care for her aging father, and in 1999 she moved to Boynton Beach and has lived there ever since.
Mary was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Molitoris. She was a very loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Her husband John Ostrowski in 1978, and her brothers George, Joseph, Albert, and Anthony, and also her sister Katheryn Molinowski, all of the Wilkes-Barre, PA area, predeceased Mary.
She leaves behind her two devoted sons, Robert and his wife Martha Ostrowski of Kingston, PA and also Norman and his wife Dorothy of Boynton Beach, FL five loving grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Other survivors are her brother John Molitoris and wife Helen of Mountain Top, PA and sister Madelyn Lawson of Conyngham, PA.
The celebration of a funeral mass will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 8th, at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church, Boynton Beach, with entombment to follow at the Boca Raton Mausoleum. Friends may call at BOYNTON MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 800 West Boynton Beach Blvd., Boynton Beach, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM on Wednesday.
