Marye-Yates Fuller Jones, 80, of Jamestown, RI and Boynton Beach, Fl passed away peacefully with her family by her side after a long battle with cancer.
Marye-Yates was born in Winnetka, Illinois to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Yates Fuller and Marye-Stuart Gress Fuller on July 1, 1934. She attended Penn State University and enjoyed traveling throughout her younger years. Marye-Yates met the love of her life Alfred H. Jones Jr. (Fred) at the Trenton Country Club and they married in 1956. Together they celebrated a joyous life with family and friends.
Always the hostess, Marye-Yates' passion for entertaining family and friends created many nights of fun, laughter, and love. Her zest for life was infectious and her smile warmed your heart. She was loved and respected by all who knew her.
Her dedication to Garden Club kept her very active as she was a member of the Orchid Garden Club (Delray Beach, Fl), The Quail Ridge Garden Club (Boynton Beach, Fl), and The Jamestown Garden Club (Jamestown, RI) all where she served as president.
As an avid tennis player and captain of her tennis team, many of her happiest days are played out on the tennis courts with friends.
Marye-Yates was an active member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church, Delray Beach, Fl, a member of Quail Ridge Country Club, a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution, and an active member of The Connecticut Yacht Club in Jamestown, RI where she and Fred held many bridge championships.
Marye-Yates was a past member of the Junior League of Springfield, Ill and a past member of the Island Bay Yacht Club.
Marye-Yates is survived by her husband of 58 years Alfred Henry Jones Jr.(Fred), their four children Alfred Henry Jones III of Jamestown, RI, Marye- Lahens Pearsall Jones Breakwell (Phillip) of Delray Beach, Fl, Blair Boynton Jones of Boynton Beach, Fl, Victoria Houlding Jones Corey (James) of North Kingstown, RI, 9 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
She leaves behind three siblings Nancy Fuller Wright (Marcus) of Juno Beach, Fl and Little Silver, NJ, Richard Stuart Fuller (Randy) of Boynton Beach, Fl and Kitty Hawk, NC, and Joanne Fuller Brown (Ralph) of St. Michaels, Md.
A memorial will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church Monday May 11, 2015 at 2:00 pm.
A second memorial will be held at The Conanicut Yacht Club in Jamestown, RI in mid July.
