Obituary

Remembered for the size of his heart, the magnitude of his humor, and his ability to make friends everywhere he went. Michael Anthony McIntyre, 48, of Manchester Township, New Jersey, passed away of natural causes at his home in Boynton Beach, Florida on May 26, 2025.

He was born in Red Bank, New Jersey on September 9, 1976, to parents Joseph and Illona McIntyre, who will always remember their first born as the little boy they loved so much. He grew up in Manchester, New Jersey and was a graduate of the class of 1995 from Manchester Township High School. He spent his adult life residing in Ocean County, New Jersey, and Palm Beach County, Florida.

Michael was passionate about his career in hospitality and entertainment (server, barista, bartender, and DJ). He was a long-time server and barista at Cool Beans Coffee House in Toms River, New Jersey. He was also a long-time DJ performing at many bars throughout the Jersey Shore and parts of South Florida. He will always be remembered for the pride he took in his work, no matter where he was. He also loved adventures, laughter, nature, animals, photography, and people.

Michael is survived by his mother: Illona Gregory McIntyre, father: Joseph A. McIntyre, sister: Leah McIntyre, brother: Christopher McIntyre, nephew: Ryan McIntyre, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Michael was always known as the life of the party and the funny guy. Throughout his life he was known by many as Mikey Mac, a name he would later use as his DJ persona. People enjoyed being around him and being a part of the Mikey Mac experience, which often included harmless pranks, tons of laughter, and wildly inappropriate comments that only he could get away with because he was Mikey. People loved Mikey for many reasons, but especially because of the size of his heart. He was always willing to listen and be there in a time of need. He made a point of calling and checking in on so many different people on a daily basis to make sure they were okay or just to stay in touch. He was always proud of his friends and his family. He was taken much too soon, but he lived a full lifetime worth of friendships, fun, laughter, and love.

The family will be holding a small private ceremony. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you make a donation to Faith Farm Ministries .

A celebration of life will be planned in both New Jersey and South Florida for extended family and friends to pay their respects. These memorials will take place over the summer, and details will be communicated in the near future.
