IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michaelis "Mick"
Brown
May 6, 1963 – September 12, 2020
Thanks be to God
goodbyes are not forever.
Goodbyes are not the end.
They simply mean we will miss you, our Mickey,
until we meet again.
Michaelis was born May 6, 1963 at Homestead Air Force Base Hospital. His parents Robert and Mary Frances could not have been prouder.
A unique and attractive personality Mickey never stopped reaching out to people of all ages, races, cultures; especially those who appeared in search of attention, love or friendship. People were likewise drawn to him; a big guy with a ready smile and soft heart. To know him was to love him!!
Michaelis Brown never published what he wanted to be when he grew up. Having inherited the gypsy gene from his mom,his life choices took him from California back tohis beloved South Florida to Atlanta to New Jersey to South Florida where, blessed with the "gift of gab" and a great work ethic he was effective in high contact jobs such as sales and fitness training.
Mickey married Keri Ford (divorced) with whom he fathered a wonderful son, Kyle. He couldn't have been more proud to be a father. Kyle has brought great joy to all of the families in Mickey's circle and is now serving his country in the U. S. Coast Guard. Kyle in uniform made Mickey flex his chest as only his father Bob could. (Bob Brown must have invented the chest flex).
Mickey met the love of his life Susan Bowen in Fort Lauderdale Florida . They were married and joined their families including Susan's son Adam and daughter Hannah. Mickey and Susanenjoyed a happy life together. Beside their enduring love they enjoyed the same things: family time, pets (many, many pets) and especially their annual trip to the Brown family farm in Vienna, Ga..
Our Mickey brought joy, humor and love to many; a man with a booming voice; quick to laugh and a big heart. He loved Florida; people, fishing, snorkeling, hunting, sharing stories and spending money on big toys. He was nourished by nature. Mickey valued the father figures in his life: his dad, his step father Dr. Marshall Kaufman, Uncle Ernest, Uncle "Shep," Uncle Melvin, Grandpa Baldwin, Grandpa J. Z. Brown. They gave of themselves, quality time with Mickey and he loved it.
While married to Susan, a Christian woman, Mickey was saved. At Calvary of the Palm Beaches Church in Boynton Beach Mickey was ordained as a deacon and enjoyed working with youth. More recently he and Susan became members of Trinity Lutheran Church near their home in Delray Beach.
Mickey's passing just shreds the heart of all that know and love him, especially his mother (Mary Frances) with whom he shared a deep love. Only the thought that he is with both his early father and his heavenly father soothes the pain. It is well!
Some of the people whom Mickey leaves to mourn his passing:
His mother Dr. Frances Baldwin; stepfather Dr. Marshall Kaufman; wife Susan; sons Kyle (Danielle) and Adam (Tracy); daughter Hannah; brother Priest(Tina) and sister Courtney Brown. Granddaughters: Julia Grace and Chloe; grandsons Aiden and Bradley. In-laws Jerry and Becky Franklin and their family who generously embraced him.
Uncle: John "Shep" BrownAunts: Shirley Lindsay (Melvin), Gwendolyn Davis, Cathryn Johnson (Edwin) and Gail Brown.A large number of beloved cousins and other relatives, friends and Facebook friends.
.
Rest well now our beloved Mickey. You have etched a
permanent place in each of our hearts forever.
Knowing that you are with your Heavenly Father
will soon turn our tears into smiles until we meet again.
