Mildred Panchita Singh Elliott, of Boynton Beach Florida and Spanish Town, Jamaica West Indies, died at 11:29 am on February 25, 2013, surrounded by her family. Her father Jack Naraine Singh and mother Maud Singh migrated to Jamaica from Punjab, India. Called Millie by those friends closest to her, she was a Unit Secretary in the Intensive Care Unit of Mountainside Hospital in Montclair NJ, for over 30 years. She was a godly woman who was known for being soft spoken, uncommonly kind and for her keen sense of humor. Mildred leaves 8 biological children, three adopted children and a step-daughter. Her children are Sharon Anne, Ester Carlene (Copy), Andrew Carl, Deanne Ayrd, Michael Wayne, Brent Carlyle, Shaun Averista and Hope Yvette. Her adopted children are Maxine James Francis, Georgette Mejia and Barbara Chin-Sinn, and her step-daughter is Joyce Elliott Jarrett.
Her powerful legacy of unconditional kindness, understanding and love are widespread and will be carried on by her children, 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. When you walked into her home, you immediately became a part of her family. Mommy, Ma, Grandma, Gramma-gramma, Miss. Millie - your legacy and love remains ingrained in our lives.
A Funeral Service will be held 12noon Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Trinity Church International, 7255 S. Military Trail, Lake Worth. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will follow at Boynton Beach Memorial Park.
