Obituary

Age 85 of Boynton Beach, passed away July 19, 2012. Born April11, 1927 in Deerfield Beach, FL, the daughter of H. Bert and Mary Leola Griffin Traylor. She was educated in the local public schools and the convent in Key West. Millie lived in Jacksonville, FL for 22 years and was a member of many organizations. Her name was in Who's Who in Florida in1974. Their relatives were in Boca Raton in1908 and her uncle was the first elected mayor of Boca Raton from 1924 to 1929 and another uncle paved Old Dixie Highway from Delray Beach to Pompano Beach. Millie had been a member of the National Society of Southern Dames, St. Mark Catholic Church, the Historical Society, the 1913 School Museum, was in the first Girl Scout troop in Boynton Beach and enjoyed telling the new comers what life was like in Boynton when the population was 9000. She was predeceased by husband, George Anthony Tarasco in May 2010. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy (Ron) Hurst of Jacksonville, FL; Vanessa (Randy) Hurst of Tennessee; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Ann "Bernice" Wilson; brother, P.B. "Flip" (Barbara) Traylor; special cousins Bobby and Pat Griffin; special friend, Anna Maria Dianni; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at St. Mark Catholic Church, Boynton Beach. Visitation will be held from 3pm to 5pm Tuesday at Boynton Memorial Chapel, 800 W. Boynton Beach Blvd., Boynton Beach. Interment will take place at the Boynton Beach Memorial Park.
