Nicholas Carmine Di Pette was born on July, 29, 1928 in Newark, NJ and passed away on June 2, 2019 in Boynton Beach, FL. Nick graduated from East Side High School, president of his class, in Newark, NJ in 1946. After graduation, he joined the United States Army and retired from the 101 Airborne Division after 22 years of service. He retired at the rank of 1st Sergeant in October, 1969. During his years of service, he served in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. After retiring from the army, he went to work for the United States Postal Service for over 20 years. Nick moved from New Jersey to Florida in 1988. He was also a lifetime member of the Elks.
Nick enjoyed his time in the Florida sun especially being able to enjoy his favorite outdoor hobby of playing golf. His all time favorite indoor hobby was bowling. Nick was a certified United States Bowling Congress coach. He coached both young boys and girls of Boynton Beach every Saturday morning. He took great pride in watching them develop into champion bowlers.
Nick enjoyed traveling especially to Disney World and on family cruises. His favorite place on the ship was the outdoor Grill sipping a beer and having a hotdog. In the evening, you would find him playing cards or shooting craps.
Nick was a diehard New York Yankees and New York Giants fan.
Nick's final resting place will be Arlington National Cemetery where he will buried with full military honors.

A funeral ceremony will be celebrated on Friday, June 7, 2019, at 1:00 pm at Boynton Memorial Chapel.
