Abell, Norman L., Commander USN (ret.), 91 of Boynton Beach, passed away September 2, 2007. He was a beloved husband, father, uncle, grandfather and friend, full of cheerfulness and a "never better" attitude. A Commander in the US Navy for 25 years, he served in WWII and the Korean War. An avid golfer, sportsman and community leader, he was a member of numerous athletic associations, religious and community organizations.

He is survived by his sister Mildred (Midge) Ruff, sons William and Norman Jr. and their wives, his grandchildren Brendan, Cassandra, Lee and Eric, and his great granddaughter Brenna. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Philomena and his daughter, Nancelea.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 5 to 7 pm at Boynton Memorial Chapel, Boynton Beach. Interment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, New London, CT.
