Norman Anthony
Ostrowski
June 13, 1942 – April 10, 2025
Norman Anthony Ostrowski, 82, passed away suddenly and peacefully surrounded by his wife and children following a brief battle with lung cancer Thursday April 10, 2025.
Born in Ashley, Pennsylvania, he was the youngest son of John & Mary Ostrowski. Norm was an athlete and he loved all sports. He played baseball and basketball, and he was awarded Athlete of The Year from St. Leo's Catholic School. He was an avid golfer, and for 38 years he loved playing the course and being a member at Pine Tree Golf Club in Boynton Beach. Norm also served on the Board of Governors and was affectionately called the "Mayor of Pine Tree".
In 1966, he married his high school sweetheart, Dorothy, and soon after they relocated from Pennsylvania to South Florida where he enjoyed a 25 plus year career with IBM in Boca Raton, working his way up from procurement to the head of public relations for the State of Florida.
Together with Dorothy, they founded the Institute of Travel Technology which operated at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, and both campuses of Florida International University in Miami. They also owned and operated Atrium Travel Agency in Boca Raton. Norm and Dorothy traveled the world, everything from cruising to China with family and friends to a soiree with Prince Albert on his yacht in Monte Carlo.
In his retirement, Norm enjoyed every day spending time with Dorothy, family & friends, walking his dogs along Saint Andrews Drive, relaxing by the pool, listening to music, and enjoying the beautiful summer afternoons.
Norm is survived by his wife Dorothy of 58 years, his daughter Karen, his son Mark, his grandsons Andrew and Dylan, and his grand dog named Bear.
A viewing will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 30th at Boynton Memorial Chapel located at 800 West Boynton Beach Blvd in Boynton Beach.
In celebration of Norman's life, a mass will be held Thursday, May 1st at 11:00 AM at Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church located at 370 S.W. Third Street, Boca Raton followed by internment at the Boca Raton Mausoleum, 451 S.W. 4th Avenue, Boca Raton.
