Patricia Ann Suchan, age 84, of Boynton Beach, Florida and formally Greenlawn, New York, passed away on January 29, 2026. Pat was born on June 8, 1941 in Manhattan to August and Rose (Zeni) Mathes.

On July 11, 1965, Pat married Edward Suchan Jr. at Westbury Manor in New York. Together, they had two children and shared 55 years of marriage.

As a young woman, Patricia worked as a first grade teacher for New York City Public Schools. She then enjoyed staying at home with her family and taking care of the household. After her children were grown, she returned to teaching as a substitute and teacher aide at Thomas J. Lahey Elementary School in Greenlawn.

Pat enjoyed spending time at Centerport beach during the summer and traveling to family events throughout the year. She was the number one fan of her children and grandchildren and especially loved watching them play sports. Her hobby was reading books and her favorites were suspense and mystery novels. She was a long time reader of Good Housekeeping magazine and watcher of Days of Our Lives and Search for Tomorrow soap operas.

Patricia is survived by her son, Michael, and his wife, Amy, her daughter Christine Patsos and husband, Paul, her grandchildren, Jessica (Stephen), Michelle (Joshua), Cassandra, Julia, and Alexandra, and her great grandchildren, Ryan, Raegan, Blake, and Logan.

She was predeceased by her husband, Edward, and her parents, August and Rose.

A short ceremony will be held on February 10, 2026 at 10:30 am at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, Florida.
