Obituary

Peter Boyle, 92, of Lake Worth, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2026.

Born on July 26, 1934, in New York City, Peter lived a life defined by faith, family, service, and devotion to others. Throughout his remarkable life, he exemplified integrity, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to helping those around him.

Peter dedicated his entire professional career to law enforcement and criminal justice. He proudly served as a New York City Police Department officer for 22 years before continuing his service for another 22 years in the Nassau County, New York, criminal justice system. His four decades of public service reflected his deep sense of duty and his commitment to protecting and serving his community.

While Peter's professional accomplishments were significant, his greatest gift was his devotion to his family. A tremendous father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he was the steady foundation upon which generations of his family relied. His wisdom, patience, generosity, and unconditional love left a lasting impact on all who knew him. A man of strong faith, Peter was an active member and volunteer at St. Matthew Catholic Church, where he generously shared his time and talents. He also found great joy in Toastmasters, participating enthusiastically in clubs in both New York and Florida.Through these organizations, he developed lifelong friendships and inspired others through his leadership, encouragement, and gift for communication.

Peter was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marianne Boyle, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and cherished memories. His family takes comfort in knowing they are reunited once again.

He is survived by his five children and their spouses: Kathy and Joseph Cialone, Patricia and Steve Denzik, Joanne and Richard Lloyd, Peter and Diane Boyle, and Robert and Christine Boyle.

He was the proud grandfather of Daniel, Elizabeth, Sean, Emily, Kevin, Francesca, Jacqueline, Grace, Erin, Meghan, and Anna.

He was also blessed with ten great-grandchildren: Carter, Nancy, Caleigh, Dorothy, Caitlin, Beauman, Eloise, Ava, Alana, and Brady, each of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

Peter's legacy lives on through the values he instilled in his family: faith, service, integrity, hard work, compassion, and love. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

May he rest in the peace of Christ and rejoice in the eternal embrace of his beloved Marianne.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Peter’s memory to two of his favorite charities:
