Obituary

Peter Ramos, 85, of Boynton Beach, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at his daughter's home in Darien, Connecticut. He was born on May 17, 1926 in Long Island City, New York to the late Thomas L. and Florence Soumakis Romas.

Peter was employed as a bridge and tunnel officer with the City of New York for eighteen years before his retirement in 1981 and served in the Korean War with the US Army.

Peter is survived by his loving children Helen Goshea Romas and Pauline F. Tabakis both of Darien, CT; Thomas C. Romas of Stamford, CT; and John C. Romas of Vallejo, CA; six loving grandchildren, Vasili and Peter Tabakis; Peter, Peter, Gus, and Steven Romas. Also surviving is his niece, Bertha Pantels and her husband the Rev. Theodore Pantels.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife Martha Aposporos Romas; sister Betty Ladis and a niece Florence Ladis.

A funeral service will be held Friday October 21, 2011 at St. Mark Greek Orthodox Church in Boca Raton at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Boynton Beach Mausoleum.
